Harvard World Model United Nations (WorldMUN) travels to a different city every year, with the goal of fostering authentic cross-cultural connections. We aim for our conferences to embody the ‘WorldMUN spirit,’ a guiding principle that encourages friendship and cooperation across borders, along with a deeper understanding of cultures and perspectives beyond one’s own. The world’s most diverse collegiate model UN conference and one of the largest, past WorldMUN destinations have included Rome (2016), Montreal (2017), Panama City (2018), Madrid (2019), and Paris (2023), with addresses from Pope Francis (2016) and King Felipe VI of Spain (2019). The 32nd iteration of WorldMUN will take place in Taipei, to be hosted by MUN Society Taiwan.

Drawing upon the events of WorldMUN 2023, the new WorldMUN 2024 leadership team has extensive experience in organizing model UN conferences: three Secretariat members have led or currently lead other Harvard-affiliated model UN conferences, and the seven Secretariat members have helped organize a combined 11 Harvard-affiliated model UN conferences.

In response to feedback received during WorldMUN 2023, the WorldMUN 2024 leadership team will develop and institutionalize policies aimed at tackling academic dishonesty and discriminatory behavior, to promote a safe environment for all delegates. The leadership team also commits to communicating any potential issues to delegates and faculty advisors as they arise.

We look forward to welcoming you to Taipei in March 2024.
